Role Overview:  

Huntsman Corporation’s site in Cavazzona is seeking an experienced Production Manager for our Tecnoelastomeri entity.

The Production Manager oversees operational management of PU systems and parts production, ensuring all activities comply with Huntsman EHS standards. The role focuses on process efficiency, product quality, and effective use of technical and human resources.

The Manager ensures assets, tools, and procedures are used properly to maintain efficient, high‑quality production. They lead the Systems and Parts Production teams, fostering strong performance, engagement, and accountability. Team is counting around 15 people in total. The role also supports Sales, TS, and R&D on technical or quality-related customer issues, identifying root causes and proposing corrective or preventive actions. As a member of the Site Management Team, the Manager contributes to defining and implementing site strategy and priorities.

Role Responsibilities: 

As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for: 

  • Ensuring compliance with EHS standards, procedures, and regulations, with a strong focus on personal and process safety
  • Planning, coordinating, and supervising daily production activities, ensuring alignment with production plans and smooth introduction of new products
  • Monitoring chemical process parameters (e.g., temperature, pressure, reaction times) to ensure consistent finished product quality
  • Collaborating with R&D, Quality, and Maintenance teams to optimize formulations and production cycles
  • Implementing and monitoring production KPIs (OEE, waste, energy consumption, etc.)
  • Supporting investment projects and technological improvements in production
  • Managing inventories of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products in cooperation with Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Cooperating with the Site Manager on site strategy and priorities
  • Managing and motivating the team of production operators and technicians, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement

Experience and Competencies: 

We are looking for experienced candidates with hands-on production experience within international context.

What we are looking for: 

  • Graduated in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, with at least 10 years of experience in the chemical sector (preferably PU)
  • Strong knowledge of industrial chemical processes and production organization
  • Solid understanding of EHS standards, procedures, and regulations applicable to the chemical industry
  • Experience with Bill of Materials, KPIs, and reporting
  • Italian fluency is a must, English fluency is a must too
  • Proven experience in team management and effective cross-functional networking
  • Results‑ and data‑driven mindset with strong understanding of KPIs, processes, and manufacturing operations.
  • Focus on efficiency, performance, continuous improvement, and strong problem‑solving skills under pressure.
