The Production Manager oversees daily operations within the manufacturing and materials processing area, ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment. This individual will lead, coach, and develop team members while maintaining operational excellence, safety standards, and customer satisfaction.
Day to Day:
  • Lead and manage a team responsible for material processing, loading/unloading, and job staging operations.
  • Plan and coordinate daily production schedules to meet targets.
  • Monitor workflow and productivity, ensuring consistent output and adherence to company standards.
  • Promote and enforce safety policies, ensuring compliance with all safety training and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges through proactive communication and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Sales, Logistics, Purchasing, etc.) to optimize workflow and customer outcomes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Coach, train, and motivate employees.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture — and have fun doing it!

Skill Set:
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing, lumber, or building materials environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
  • Working knowledge of production operations, safety standards, and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret measurements and complete basic math problems.
  • Physical ability to occasionally assist on the floor as needed (handling up to 55 pounds).
  • Forklift certification or willingness to complete company certification program.
  • Highly organized, responsible, and motivated with a hands-on management style.
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive attitude and promoting teamwork.
