Autocraft Solutions Group is looking for a Production Manager to join our growing EV facility in Arnhem. In this role, you will support the Site Manager in leading daily production activities, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining the highest safety and quality standards, and developing a high-performing production team.

About the role

As Production Manager, you will act as the deputy to the Site Manager and oversee the day-to-day production operation. You'll ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.

You'll lead the production team, optimise processes and contribute to the continued growth of our EV operations in Arnhem.

What you'll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Site Manager with the daily management of production operations
  • Developing and managing weekly production plans
  • Leading, coaching and motivating the production team
  • Ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and on time
  • Diagnosing battery faults and providing technical guidance during the remanufacturing process
  • Testing and evaluating complex or special-case EV batteries
  • Managing stock levels of batteries and production components
  • Monitoring and reporting production performance and shift issues
  • Preparing technical reports and documenting battery test results
  • Responding to technical enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting the development of EV battery remanufacturing processes
  • Writing work instructions, process documentation and training materials
  • Supporting new product introductions and EV development projects
  • Ensuring employees receive appropriate training and ongoing development
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee engagement activities
  • Monitoring attendance, working hours and absence records in collaboration with the UK HR team
  • Ensuring compliance with Dutch employment legislation and company policies
  • Maintaining and improving the Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Supporting internal Safety, Quality and Environmental audits
  • Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues across the wider Autocraft Group
  • Driving continuous improvement throughout the production operation

RequirementsWhat we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced production professional with strong leadership skills and a technical engineering background.

You should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering or a related high-voltage discipline)
  • Previous experience in a production management or manufacturing leadership role
  • Experience working with high-voltage electrical systems
  • Experience with EV batteries or battery technology is highly desirable
  • Strong people management and coaching skills
  • Experience planning and coordinating production activities
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards
  • Internal auditing experience or qualification is an advantage
  • Experience writing procedures, work instructions or training documentation is beneficial
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Windows applications
  • A full, clean driving licence
  • Excellent communication skills in English
