RWB is the preferred source for high-end pistons, engine blocks, cylinder heads, intake manifolds, connecting rods, crankshafts, clutches, transmissions, springs and other engine and driveline- related performance components.  

Provides daily leadership to hourly production workforce towards targeted output levels in accordance with all safety guidelines, quality standards and company policies.
  

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures that shop personnel are working in accordance with all company guidelines and safety protocol.
  • Responsible for leading and directing the shop workforce towards achieving daily output targets as well as commitments for shipments to customers both external and internal.
  • Reallocates shop workforce to support daily commitments as well as to overcome absences and other shifts in staffing.
  • Ensures that employees are performing within established time standards and develops plans to improve each employee’s output and overall performance.
  • Ensures the quality of each employee’s work and develops methods and practices to eliminate rejections or defects.
  • Directs employees in the performance of operator maintenance activities and general housekeeping.
  • Makes recommendations to Production Supervisor on employee performance and job reviews.
  • Recommends changes in staffing based on shop load and shifts in the workforce.
  • May participates in the interviewing, hiring and training of new shop employees.
  • Ensures that the factory and facilities are clean and kept in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Promotes and administrates cross training to ensure that multiple individuals can perform every duty within the factory operation.
  • Utilizes language, feedback or other motivating techniques to ensure that all shop personnel feel appreciated and an integral part of the company’s overall success.
  • Offers design for manufacturability input as required on new designs and other manufacturing improvement projects.
  • Leads by example by following all company guidelines and policies.
  • Performs additional duties and assignments, as required.

Requirements

  • Significant knowledge of MIG and TIG   welding practices and methodologies. Formal welding certification preferred. 
  • Prior experience as a group lead or   supervisor a plus. 
  • Strong experience in manufacturing   processes that achieve the highest standards of quality and workmanship. 
  • First-hand knowledge of working in a LEAN   environment and developing a culture of continuous improvement.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Microsoft Office

  • Required to travel around the shop and visit all established workstations.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret documentation.
  • Required to frequently use a computer.
  • Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes and other materials.
  • Ability to single lift 40 lbs.
  • Lifting, bending, pulling, and climbing is required.
  • Required to visually identify defects in incoming materials as well as use inspection tools and equipment.
