Production Engineering Manager__
Your role and responsibilities
You will lead a strategic team within our Industrial Engineering function. This role combines technical expertise with people leadership, overseeing the development and optimization of production processes across two critical streams: Internal Process Management and Special Process Development. You will drive technological innovation, manage resources strategically, and ensure continuous technological evolution of our production lines.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
Lead and manage a team of Production Engineering Specialists, providing coaching, development, and performance management while fostering innovation and continuous improvement mindset.
Direct the Internal Processes stream: oversee technological improvements initiatives, prioritize investments, monitor OEE and efficiency KPIs, and ensure optimal return on investment through feasibility analysis and implementation tracking.
Direct the Special Processes stream: drive development of advanced automated and semi-automated solutions for special production processes (Protection and Energy Management), ensuring technological innovation, budget compliance, and economic sustainability.
Champion innovative engineering solutions by leading feasibility studies, developing technical specifications, implementing cutting-edge equipment, advanced robotics solutions and continuously enhancing production line technological capabilities.
Qualifications for the role
Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Automation Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline; master degree preferred.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in process engineering, production management, or manufacturing/quality optimization within industrial/electromechanical sectors.
Proven expertise with process design tools, manufacturing simulation software, and digital tools for production optimization (PLM, ERP systems, IoT monitoring).
Strong understanding of manufacturing best practices, automation technologies, and current industry 5.0 standards with focus on technological innovation and continuous improvement, also exploiting opportunities offered by Physical AI trends.
Demonstrated leadership capability managing technical teams, with track record of driving process improvements, innovation initiatives, and project delivery within budget and timeline constraints.
Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoken); additional languages advantageous.
Strategic thinking, problem-solving excellence, innovation mindset, stakeholder management, and ability to translate technical complexity into actionable solutions.
Compensation Package
As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:
Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
Minimum annual salary: € 53.000,00
Variable Pay: AIP target 10% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
