About the role
Join Halter’s Production Engineering team to help build and scale world-class hardware manufacturing. This internship spans manufacturing process improvements and mechanical tooling/fixture design — you may focus on one area or work across both depending on project needs.
This internship will run from mid-to-late November 2026 and end in February 2027. It will be onsite & full-time 40 hours a week over this period.
What you’ll do
Support day-to-day manufacturing problem-solving on the floor (assembly + test): observe, collect data, and help run trials.
Design and build small mechanical fixtures/jigs and line-side improvements (in CAD and hands-on).
Help develop and validate process changes (pre/post comparisons, simple DOEs when appropriate).
Create and update work instructions, visuals, and training materials to improve consistency.
Support root cause analysis (5-why / fishbone) and implement assigned corrective actions.
Partner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D to close feedback loops quickly.
Maintain tidy change documentation: what changed, when, why, and links to ECNs/incidents.

You like getting hands-on and learning fast in a real production environment.
You can communicate clearly and take pride in tidy documentation.
