As a Production Engineer, you will take technical responsibility for an entire robot family – from achieving series readiness to ensuring stable series production.
You will be the technical authority on the shop floor, ensuring that product, process, testing concepts, and production equipment work seamlessly together so that the manufacturing of our robotic systems functions reliably.
Your goal:
To establish and continuously improve robust, efficient, and quality-stable manufacturing processes so that our cognitive and humanoid robots can be produced reproducibly, error-free, and cost-efficiently.
Your main tasks include:
You work closely with product management, mechanical and electronics development, purchasing, and quality to ensure that technical changes and product improvements are secured from a production perspective.
You develop and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and process stability.
You support your robot family during series production, analyze error patterns, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
You drive the automation of assembly together with internal partners from plant engineering.
You implement and validate measurement, testing, and diagnostic technologies to ensure functional and quality requirements are met.
You design material and information flows, derive layout and process improvements based on Lean principles, and implement them.
You are a technically skilled, hands-on engineer who enjoys supporting modern robotic systems in production, solving technical problems, and sustainably improving manufacturing processes.
You work in a structured and analytical way and have a deep understanding of the requirements of serial production of software-based mechatronic systems.
Your Qualifications:
A completed Master’s degree in mechatronics, production engineering, electrical engineering, measurement and testing technology, or a comparable technical qualification.
Professional experience in production-related development, testing technology, or manufacturing automation.
Solid knowledge of automation technology and sensor systems.
Experience with Lean methods and value stream analysis; REFA or MTM are an advantage.
An analytical and methodical way of working and strong technical understanding.
Ability to collaborate across disciplines between development, production, quality, and plant engineering.
Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and team orientation.
Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.

What We Do
NEURA Robotics is a German high-tech company founded in 2019 in Metzingen near Stuttgart with the vision to revolutionize the world of robotics. More than 180 team members from over 30 countries are working on advanced technologies in the fields of environmental perception, drive and control technology, material science, mechanical design, and artificial intelligence. We are expanding the cognitive capabilities of robots and make breakthrough advances in a variety of areas to bring robots and humans closer together, making many areas of work more attractive, creative, and social again. That's why everything we do runs under the guiding principle "we serve humanity". In a very short period of time, NEURA Robotics has developed robots and technologies that are characterized above all by their outstanding performance as well as safe and human-centred way of working. In this way, a wide variety of application fields can be covered, from intelligent production to medical technology. All major robot components are developed and designed in-house.
