Production Development Engineer  

As a Production Development Engineer, the main responsibility is to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes and equipment to minimize labor hours, in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety. 

 

Your responsibilities 

  • Be responsible for new and changed solutions for the factory and be a “champion” for implementation of new or revised solutions in the factory. 

  • Perform design tasks, present solutions in design review, and introduce the new design to the factory. 

  • Be responsible for and follow up trial assemblies for own designs. 

  • Contribute with technical and manufacturing advice in industrialization projects. 

  • Follow the project development from release, until implemented in the factory 

  • Contribute to maintaining and developing the mechanical- and/or low voltage solutions in our product portfolio 

  • Participate in the department’s continuous improvement work and operating system 

  • Create Implementation Notice (ICN) and Exchange Notice (XCN) in Windchill, our PLM System 

  • Develop drawings from Engineering BOM design to MBOM detail drawings for production 

 

Your background 

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. within Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial engineering or similar. 

  • Experience from SolidWorks, SAP and Windchill will be an advantage. 

  • Coordination- and leadership skills. 

  • Commitment to quality and speed and interest in continuous improvement for the production processes. 

  • Solid communication skills in English and Norwegian.
