Overview:
A VFX Production Coordinator is a crucial link between artists, supervisors, and the show production team ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. They manage the day-to-day workflow of a specific sequence or team, taking the ownership of tracking the progress of work, updating databases and flagging potential roadblocks to relevant stakeholders.
You will be reporting directly to the Head of Production and to the internal APs and LPs of the shows you will be assigned to. As a Production Coordinator, you will be expected to carry out the following responsibilities:
Work with the Leads/Supes and and the crew to track and manage the workflow to meet all internal and external deadlines.
Organize, attend and take detailed notes during dailies, rounds, and review sessions, ensuring they are effectively communicated to artists.
Understand targets and other schedule information and rely them during dailies and reviews
Assist in setting and maintaining artist schedules, milestones, and daily targets, identifying potential bottlenecks to mitigate delays.
Maintain the sanity of data in Shotgun on a regular basis to help other stakeholders in generating daily or weekly reports.
Anticipate and communicate issues to the Line Producers and Supervisors and contribute in quick resolution and problem solving
Maintain an accurate summary of the task progress and ensure artist’s timelogs are updated on a daily basis
Review and communicate render priorities with the relevant stakeholders
Work with the senior members of production to plan daily tasks and prioritize work as requested
Track and report idle scenarios in advance
Manage assignment changes on floor due to unexpected circumstances
Other ad hoc duties as may reasonably be expected
Required Skills & Qualifications:
2 to 3+ years of experience in a VFX production environment, with a strong understanding of VFX pipeline and terminologies.
Strong knowledge of ShotGrid, MS Office and Google Suite.
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced workflows and prioritize conflicting tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
