The production associate is an entry level position and is responsible for ensuring proper inspection and packing of product. This position works in the Production Department, reporting to the Production Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor automated packing process, providing manual intervention when needed.
Inspect full boxes of finished product for quality.
Assemble boxes for filling with finished product.
Keep downstream packing equipment running and supplied with boxes to be filled.
Seal, label, load boxes onto elevator.
Maintain organized and clean workstations and common area.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/ Previous Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
No experience necessary.
Ability to read shipping labels.
Ability to identify defects in finished product.
Good color acuity
Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to learn, grow and adapt to changing business needs.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 25 pounds frequently, 27 pounds occasionally and ability to be actively moving for the majority of any shift.
Use of Personal protective equipment on the production floor (PPE)
Physical requirements include but not limited to standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination and grasping.
