We are looking for a talented Production Associate – Level II to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in York, SC.

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Education

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

 

Experience

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.  

  • Will be required to complete rework from all brake lines.  

  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift a minimum of 35lbs.  

Qualifications
  • Follow all safety rules, policies, and safe operating procedures at all times.
  • Adhere to all work instructions and complete all required quality inspections and checks in accordance with established control plans.
  • Meet all site attendance and punctuality expectations.
  • Operate pneumatic tools, overhead hoists, and other required equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform duties associated with minor maintenance and material handling of rear axles as assigned.
  • Provide and maintain personal hand tools required by the team.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through excellent housekeeping practices.
  • Work collaboratively as an effective team member by assisting other operators as needed to support production and operational goals.
  • Perform multiple job functions throughout the shift to support material flow and production requirements.
  • Perform work that requires continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting while assembling rear axles and brake components.
  • Safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds. When required, use proper lifting techniques and available mechanical lifting devices to safely handle heavier materials.
  • Safely operate overhead hoists and, when required, lift trucks during equipment setup and production activities.
  • Exercise sound judgment when identifying, troubleshooting, and responding to issues inherent to the manufacturing process.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by following standardized work and contributing to a safe, productive, and quality-focused work environment.
