Position Overview:

As a Director of Product Management within our FindLaw business, you will play a critical role in helping our law firm customers achieve their marketing and business development goals. FindLaw products drive new business for our law firm customers, via websites, search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC), social media and other marketing solutions.

In this role, you'll lead a Product Management team and be responsible for strategically managing a product portfolio, applying & embedding customer/market feedback to identify, prioritize, and champion new product/enhancement initiatives. You will directly drive financial results, through effective go-to-market planning, pricing strategies, and by working cross functionally with stakeholders to deliver new sales, retention, profitability and revenue growth targets. You will help us build a best-in-class Product Management function, driving success with iterative and agile development processes, ongoing product road mapping, and nurturing of a culture of high customer focus.

About the Role:

In this opportunity as Director, FindLaw Product Management, you will:

  • Attract, develop, lead and empower a team of 10+ Product Management professionals to achieve goals
  • Leverage market, industry and customer knowledge to deliver digital marketing and software products to market; maintain an active 12-18 month pipeline for assigned product portfolio
  • Develop & maintain a longer-term, compelling product vision
  • Manage product portfolios to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, customer retention, and ensure premium value delivery and differentiation in a highly competitive market
  • Identify, prioritize and champion new product/enhancement business cases, working cross functionally with business stakeholder groups
  • Support near and long-term financial growth objectives of assigned product portfolios, including market share, sales, revenue, profit and return on investment.
  • Partner with stakeholder groups to develop, deliver, and manage go-to-market strategies for new products/ enhancements, working cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholder groups
  • Influence pricing strategies in accordance with market environment, in depth customer understanding, and product value
  • Apply best-in-class Product Management tools and principles to champion improvements in applied customer/market feedback, concept testing, agile/iterative delivery, and service-design concepts
  • Manage assigned capital expense, maximizing value to customers, while delivering projects on time and on budget

About the You:

You're a fit for the role of Director of FindLaw Product Management if you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Operations, Marketing, or equivalent; or a Bachelor's degree in another discipline plus substantial Product Management experience, training and/or certification; MBA a plus
  • 8+ years of progressively accountable product strategy, product lifecycle, product commercial management experience, with demonstrated results of success
  • Experience leading Product Management professionals to achieve high degrees of customer satisfaction, and attaining commercial product goals
  • Product leadership experience in serving either our core market (lawyers, small businesses) and/or our product verticals (digital marketing solutions - SEO, paid search, social; cloud-based small business applications)
  • Experience identifying and implementing best in class Product Management tools/principles to efficiently manage and optimize a product portfolio
  • Ability to synthesize multiple qualitative and quantitative inputs to develop, recommend, and pursue product strategy
  • Exceptional story teller abilities; able to present and communicate complex information to various audiences and levels within the organization, including senior executives
  • Ability to prioritize work, make tradeoffs, drive deadlines, and deliver projects on time, on budget
  • Demonstrated experience nurturing a culture that celebrates diversity of thought, risk-taking, openness to new ideas, and a fail-fast mentality
