Job Description:

Role Type: Individual Contributor

Copart is seeking a Business Support Specialist reporting to the Product Manager to help shape the future of our enterprise operational processes. This role resides within the Process & Innovation team and partners closely with technology and field leaders to identify opportunities, construct project requirements, perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and drive high-impact process enhancements across the business.

The ideal candidate is highly inquisitive, collaborative, and resourceful — someone who asks the right questions, listens closely to the field, and turns observations into practical, scalable improvements. This role will focus on understanding how Copart’s operational processes work today, identifying where they can work better, and helping oversee the implementation and adoption of enhancements that improve efficiency, automation, and KPI performance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field visits to observe current-state processes and identify improvement opportunities
  • Build clear, actionable project requirements based on field feedback, operational realities, and performance data

  • Partner with technology, operations, sales, and business stakeholders to design and implement process enhancements
  • Prioritize process enhancement opportunities based on business value, risk, and operational impact
  • Track the success of process changes through KPI impact, adoption, efficiency gains, and field feedback
  • Lead operational initiatives, business readiness, UAT coordination, implementation, and post-launch validation
  • Identify blockers, surface risks early, and work cross-functionally to remove obstacles
  • Document process findings, recommendations, and outcomes in a clear and structured way
  • Challenge existing assumptions and help the team think bigger about what is possible

What Makes You Successful

  • Highly inquisitive: You ask questions, dig into root causes, and listen carefully to the field and business stakeholders
  • Collaborative: You work well with operations, field teams, and technology partners
  • Innovative and strategic: You think beyond the immediate fix and design for long-term success
  • Resourceful: You find practical solutions and move quickly without losing sight of business value
  • Influential: You can build trust, drive alignment, and help others stretch toward better outcomes

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a change-centric environment and collaborating across teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with various business teams including senior/executive level leadership
  • Ability to translate field observations into structured business requirements and improvement opportunities
  • Technology/AI forward mindset and able to quickly learn new systems, workflows, and tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or initiatives at once

Preferred Experience

  • Background in product, user acceptance testing (UAT), process improvement, operations, business analysis, or transformation
  • Experience working on workflow improvements, automation, and/or efficiency initiatives
  • Exposure to operations, operational support functions, or large-scale process environments
  • Experience turning business needs into solution requirements or implementation plans

Success Measures

This role will be measured by the impact of delivered improvements, including:
