Position Summary

Credence has an immediate need for a Product Support Manager at the journeyman level who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/LG) directorate at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. 

AFLCMC is responsible for the life cycle management of Air Force weapon systems from their inception to retirement. The AFLCMC motto is: "AFLCMC - providing what warfighters need, when they need it!" This motto reflects the center's commitment to delivering the resources necessary to organize, train, and equip the Air Force. AFLCMC's mission is to acquire and support war-winning capabilities, ensuring that all aspects of the weapon systems life cycle are managed effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

  • Assist with providing logistics support and guidance to program offices in the execution of product support tasks.
  • Develop and provide training, including training documentation and on-site and/or virtual training for program offices.
  • Perform control activities, including schedule monitoring, progress monitoring, fielding questions, and risk management.
  • Develop tools and center-level processes to standardize key product support procedures across AFLCMC and support program office execution of product support tasks.
  • Create and maintain guides, standards/specifications, contract language, models, templates, and metrics to assess the health of product support within the center.
  • Provide program office outreach support by responding to questions, conducting research, and assisting program and staff offices with product support activities.
  • Coordinate and engage with OSD, defense agencies, HAF, SAF, major commands, AFMC centers, and AFLCMC program offices, as needed.
  • Participate in staff assistance/site visits, conduct informational briefings, facilitate meetings, and coordinate task activities in support of program or staff offices upon Government request.

Requirements
  • Must have active or current Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field and at least three (3) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, three (3) of which must be in the DoD
  • OR, seven (7) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience in, and working knowledge of, a USAF program office or a USAF program acquiring, fielding, and sustaining weapons and/or support systems.
  • Expert knowledge of Product Support Management Product Support Elements (PSEs) to plan and manage cost and performance across the product support value chain and all 12 PSEs from design through disposal.
  • Knowledge of risk management, program protection planning, supply chain risk management, transition support planning, product support integrator/product support provider processes, and private/public partnerships.
  • Subject matter expertise and technical experience in acquisition logistics and day-to-day management of the 12-product support/integrated logistics support elements.

Skills Required

  • Active or current Secret security clearance
