About the Position
As a Data Product Specialist, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, management and continuous improvement of data-driven products and solutions of the data across our company's products. You will be the key liaison between the sales, product, and customer success teams, helping to ensure that the value proposition of the data products is clearly communicated and that client needs are met.
Primary Responsibilities
Contract Renewal & Negotiation:
- Manage the end-to-end contract renewal process for data products, including preparing renewal documents, tracking contract expiration dates, and ensuring timely renewals.
- Work closely with clients to negotiate contract terms, including pricing adjustments, product feature needs, and contract length.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure all contracts comply with company policies and financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with ethical data usage regulations and promote privacy and security best practices.
Data & Analytics:
- Partner with data scientists and engineers to understand the data landscape and possibilities for product development.
- Define data models, governance policies, and ensure data quality standards are maintained.
- Understand data pipelines and how data is transformed, integrated, and used within products.
- Generate regular reports and training documents for internal stakeholders on contract renewal status, performance metrics, data landscape, and customer usage.
- Use analytics tools to monitor product performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous product enhancements.
- Identify opportunities between AMLRS products and services
Product Development:
- Execute and communicate the product vision and strategy for data products.
- Write detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the development teams.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in the insights and analytics space.
- Ensure timely delivery of features while balancing scope, quality, and resources.
- Champion a data-driven mindset within the product team.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in managing contract renewals, including negotiations, pricing adjustments, and legal considerations
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) and experience working with large data sets
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-4+ years of experience in contract negotiation ideally within a data-driven or technology-based product environment.
- Proven work experience in product management
- Strong understanding of data products, data governance, and analytics tools. This role requires a combination of negotiation skills, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to manage customer relationships to ensure
