SMX is identifying candidates for the role of Product Quality or Image Quality Analysts.
A successful candidate will perform research and analysis of image data, metadata or derived products to generate metric reports characterizing sensor performance. This may include the interrogation of databases for data discovery and data management, production of graphical products and detailed analysis of sensor and/or platform performance. This effort will require collaboration across multiple domains with the ability to deliver professional briefings to customers, other analysts and vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support quality assessment of mission data and products consisting of long-term trending, independent analysis and tests, and special studies to improve the quality of mission data or products
- Support radiometric and/or geometric evaluation, assessment, monitoring to enhance anomaly tracking, collection planning and field testing
- Support the investigation of product quality, issues or product concerns on behalf of end user requests
- Support operational calibration activities through the verification of product quality parameters
- Support working groups related to product quality efforts
- Support travel and presentation of results at the place of performance or at other CONUS locations
Required Skills/Experience:
- Clearance: TS/SCI CI Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- 4 years of related experience may be substituted in place of Bachelor's degree)
- A minimum of 3 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the above job responsibilities; A portion of this experience must fall within the last 2 years
- Demonstrates solid grammar skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office tools
Desired Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of systems and/or software such as: RemoteView, Socet GXP, ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine
- Radiometric and/or geometric calibration experience
- Knowledge of NTM, airborne or civil/commercial sensors platforms and characteristics
