The Product and Process Specialist (PPS) in Paint Shop is an Engineer dedicated in assuring the compliance of all the corporate process standar requirements from the BIW final stage until the last paint inspection in Final Line and Customer audits meeting the safety, quality, cost and delivery expectations. For the compliance of these requirements the PPS needs to monitor quality KPIs and implement improvement plans working with other areas of the paint shop and plant and involving paint suppliers.

- Assure Phosphate and Ecoat process parameters under control
- Inspect and implement improvement plans in sealer process, including UBS/UBC
- Report and develop action plans to avoid water leaks relating to sealer process
- Contact with pretreatment supplier to implement pretreatment cleaning programs
- Assure paint process controls (film builds, cure windows, appearance)
- Assure mix room controls
- Maintain color harmony with supplier plastic parts
- Validation of new colors
- Analyze and identify foreign material issues and create actions plans to eliminate these conditions
- Assure optimal conditions in paint booths and ovens (focus on cleaning)
- Verify body repairs meeting paint standards
- Develop and follow general action plans to eliminate Quality Issues reported in QVS, final line, Customer Audit and/or Warranty Claims submitted by dealer (final user)
- Assure ISD Implementation in all paint process
