The Product Owner is the mini-ceo of the digital product, service, or capability that the digital product team builds and owns. The product owner will create, shape and own the digital vision and roadmap, prioritizing for agent and customer impact and business value to deliver Chubb’s product and coverage solutions digitally. Main responsibilities includes managing stakeholder expectations, leading the product to success through representing the voice of the customer, defining and prioritizing Team efforts; collaborating with Team members, including the development team and Agile Practitioner to develop, design, build and launch the product while also interfacing with other Team Owners across different digital transformation domains to ensure overall alignment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead solutions to overall success using input from the team, stakeholders and customers
- Own the holistic team performance to business objectives and outcomes to deliver Chubb’s underwriting craftsmanship and expertise digitally
- Balance cross-functional inputs to set direction for journeys and own the solution strategy that is shaped through the domains and the business
- Work with business intelligence and process engineering partners to track and measure processes, solution progress and outcomes, using well defined KPIs that tie back to OKRs
- Define, refine, and prioritize user stories/epics/tasks on a daily basis including leading interactions with other units
- Own Team vision and set priorities to deliver impact to the customer as quickly as possible
- Observe, learn about, contact and analyze end users of the solution, and clearly communicate the requirements to the team.
- Facilitate planning of Team sprints to reaffirm priorities and agree on business requirements
- Create, maintain and prioritize the team backlog using input from the team, stakeholders and customers
- Specify acceptance criteria for each user story and write acceptance tests
- Facilitate release planning with stakeholders and participate in sprint meetings
- Build and maintain relationship with the stakeholders
- Coach development and design teams with detailed guidance during solution development
- Integrate usability studies and research into solution requirements to enhance user satisfaction.
- Able to combine both deep business and product knowledge with technical know-how on digital and insurtech related solutions, processes, and partnerships
- Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically
- Experience managing and launching an insurtech or digital solution
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, very comfortable speaking with senior leaders
- Strong self-motivator, with a contagious ability to spread energy to team
- Knowledge of Agile values, principles and practices; certified Scrum product owner is a plus.
- Experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager delivering STP, infrastructure, or insurtech solutions Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle related to the insurance tech industry
- Experience in Agile methodologies
- Experience with customer journeys and customer experience, with particular reference to insurance industry expectations for clients, business partners, and employees
