What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Business Analyst, who likes to work in an agile squad delivering value to the Non Financial Risk (NFR) community.

The Business Analyst function

You identify, analyze and specify business requirements with regard to non-financial risk and translate them into user stories or functional specification/designs. This encompasses the following activities:

• Requirements analysis:. You make sure that the requirements are complete, consistent, of good quality, that they are translated correctly in the design, and that they are maintained and, if necessary, adjusted if changes occur. You support the product owners and the squads in managing the backlog by translating and prioritizing the epics into features and, together with the squad, into user stories. 
• Process analysis: You analyze the current situation, the problems that occur and the underlying causes. Based on this analysis, you provide clear process designs.
• Information analysis: You analyze the necessary input, output, and adjustment of data in the client processes. You analyze the information need. You investigate the quality of the captured data and come up with solutions to improve quality.
• Risk analysis: You are able to translate the policies and regulations of ORM, Compliance and Legal into design solutions.

Your work environment

The Center of Expertise NFR and Compliance delivers risk related services to its stakeholders, i.e. Risk, Compliance, Audit, Tax and Group Finance. These services encompass operations and change initiatives, including system, process, data and information management. By design, the services are reliable, secure and in control. Change is delivered in accordance with the Risk strategy and implementation and decommissioning roadmap.

You will be assigned to the functional Non Financial Risk squad, which consists of Bus/Dev/Ops functions. The squad is part of the Compliance/Risk delivery department. NFR and Compliance is a trusted partner for improving and implementing global processes and products in Risk and Compliance.

Your profile

We are looking for an energetic and driven expert with strong analytical capabilities and knowledge of Non Financial Risk.

You are an excellent communicator and able to build bridges between different stakeholders. You are able to convincingly put forward your proposals and are a real team player in reaching broad agreement on the road to follow. In this way, you can contribute to delivering standardized, uniform and fully adapted solutions.

• Has a seasoned understanding of Compliance and Operational Risk processes and systems;
• Experience in a Governance, Risk, and Compliance system in a financial company is a strong plus;
• Knows what it takes to apply knowledge to market demands, makes complex analysis and translates business requirements into clear and to-the-point user stories;
• Makes connections between customer requirements, corporate strategy and longer term vision;
• Understands and supports the agile way of working;
• Uses indirect influence and understands political relationships within the company;
• Has the natural seniority to make a direct impact on the direction of the squad and product;
• Looks for challenges and encourages people to improve;

How to succeed

• Performs at academic level;
• Experience as a BA with implementing and designing complex functional solutions
• Fluent in English
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Affinity towards IT to be able to discuss functional requirements with the Dev/Ops Engineer functions
• Excellent communication skills, written communication and power to convince
• Strong team player, pro-active, ability to connect, positive mind-set, flexibility, focused on cooperation and sharing knowledge.
