Product Owner

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner to join our growing product team. The Product Owner role for Equifax’s Ignite Ecosystem will act as the bridge between engineering and business stakeholders. You will help translate high-level concepts into clear user stories, detailed requirements, and actionable tasks that support our product vision and delivery goals.

• Support in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements 

• Maintain a prioritized backlog

• Translate business needs into clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria

• Work with stakeholders to manage expectations and communicate fulfillment dates

• Support in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospective meetings

• Intake, understand, and define requirements that support enhancement requests

• Review and sign-off on the alignment of deliverables to requirements

• Coordinate releases with technology

• Work with Ignite cross-functional partners to understand and implement agreed upon enhancements that arise from roadmap prioritizations

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered

• 2-5 years of product owner/manager experience or related coursework and project based experience

• Understanding of Agile methodologies

• Has a general understanding of data structure &, data analytics, relevant experience in financial services is a plus

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Experience working with tools like Jira, Confluence, Aha, or similar

• Basic understanding of software architecture is a plus

• You have been exposed to SaaS products, web or mobile application development

• You possess familiarity with UX/UI best practices

• You have a technical background or relevant certifications (e.g. Scrum Master)

• You are a self-starter who takes initiative with minimal direction, and understands concepts quickly

• You understand the value of product ownership and can effectively communicate to various stakeholders

• You have an aptitude for handling multiple, concurrent demands and prioritizing responsibilities in a dynamic, high energy environment
