As the Product Owner for our Content Management System (CMS), you will be pivotal in translating the product vision and stakeholder needs into tangible solutions, driving the successful delivery of product features and enhancements.


Reporting to the Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing the product backlog, prioritizing tasks based on business value, and acting as the primary liaison between the development team and stakeholders, including content operations, translators, and external services such as Twilio and SendGrid.


In this role, you will focus on delivering customer-centric solutions by refining user stories, leading sprint planning, and ensuring alignment with the overall product strategy. A key aspect of your responsibility will include staying up-to-date on regulatory changes in the communications space, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance across all customer communication channels

What will your day look like?

  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog in alignment with the overall product strategy and stakeholder requirements
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager to define product deliverables and communicate progress to the wider team
  • Work closely with the engineering team, ensuring clarity on product requirements and supporting them throughout the sprint process
  • Write clear and concise user stories, ensuring acceptance criteria are well defined
  • Conduct sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups to facilitate agile processes
  • Act as a primary point of contact for the development team, clarifying any questions or issues regarding user stories
  • Ensure delivered features meet business goals and stakeholder expectations by participating in regular sprint reviews, stakeholder meetings and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (Product and non-tech stakeholders) to ensure successful execution of key initiatives
  • Assist in exploratory data analysis, gathering customer and stakeholder insights to guide product enhancements
  • Track, document and report on product performance, sharing regular updates with internal teams and stakeholders

What you will bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a product owner or similar role in an agile software development environment
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and hands-on experience with managing product backlogs and user stories
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality software products
  • Experience with working with diverse stakeholders, ensuring solutions are built to solve real-world problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to clearly articulate complex ideas
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in exploratory data analysis using tools such as SQL or Big Query
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated passion for digital products, user experience, and agile development practices
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments, ideally within a high-growth tech startup or global internet company
  • Proven track record of delivering product features on time and with measurable business impact
