The Role

This role resides within Dematic's Global Software R&D organization, where multiple development teams are responsible for the development of a 3D emulation platform used to provide a virtual representation of customer facilities to support software testing and validation. In this role, acting as the Product Owner (PO) for the emulation platform, you will work with various internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements. You will help to detail and prioritize these requirements for the development teams to deliver the required functionality release over release.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $65,000-$140,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will Do in This Role:

  • Working with Software Product Management and other internal stakeholders to help define the product vision and roadmap, aligning with the business goals of the organization.
  • Collaborate with development and other internal stakeholders to prioritize and groom the product backlog.
  • Develop user stories and acceptance criteria for new features.
  • Work closely with the development teams to provide high level estimates to define release targets.
  • Track and report on team progress toward meeting release targets.
  • Adjust priorities based upon changing stakeholder needs.
  • Mitigate roadblocks and assist where possible to reduce risks and dependencies.
  • Iterate on product features based upon user feedback.
  • Advocate for the product both internally and externally.
  • Own the product roadmap and clearly communicate product vision and direction.
  • Communicate product updates and releases to stakeholders.

What We are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering related discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Formal Agile/Scrum or PMP training/certification is an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment, including experience as a Product Owner.
  • A strong understanding of agile software development practices, tools and technologies.
  • Experience in delivering high quality software in a timely manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to build partnerships and get things done.
  • Learn and apply new tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Willingness to travel 5% - 10%.
  • Previous experience within supply chain management an asset.
  • A good sense of humor and an ability to have fun!
