Key Objective
Requirements Analysis: Lead end-to-end business and system requirements analysis for the CRS platform — translating complex insurance workflows into clear, structured specifications that the development team can act on.
Agile Facilitation: Serve as Scrum Master for the CRS feature team, facilitating all Agile ceremonies, coaching team members on Agile principles, and continuously improving delivery flow.
PO Collaboration: Work in close partnership with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog is well-refined, stories are analysis-ready, and sprint goals are clearly understood by all team members.
Stakeholder Engagement: Bridge the gap between business stakeholders and the development team — eliciting requirements, managing expectations, and ensuring delivery outcomes align with business intent.
Impediment Resolution: Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve impediments that block the team from delivering value, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety.
Quality & Delivery: Support quality outcomes by ensuring acceptance criteria are well-defined, test cases are traceable to requirements, and UAT is planned and coordinated effectively.
Documentation: Maintain up-to-date and accurate system analysis artefacts — process maps, use cases, data flow diagrams, and functional specifications — that serve as the team’s source of truth.
Continuous Improvement: Champion retrospective outcomes and drive actionable improvements to team processes, tooling, and ways of working across each sprint cycle.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
System Analyst Responsibilities
Understand Chubb's commercial insurance business workflows and translate them into detailed system and functional requirements across all CRS domains — policy, quoting, claims, payments, documents, and the agent portal.
Conduct structured requirements elicitation sessions with business stakeholders using interviews, workshops, process mapping, and gap analysis techniques.
Produce high-quality analysis artefacts including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, data flow diagrams, and process maps.
Collaborate with the Product Owner to author well-formed user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria ready for sprint planning.
Analyse and assess the impact of proposed changes on existing systems, identifying integration touch points, data dependencies, and downstream risks.
Support UAT planning and execution — coordinate with business users, validate test scenarios against requirements, and track defects to resolution.
Serve as the primary analytical liaison between business stakeholders and the engineering team, clarifying requirements and resolving ambiguities throughout the sprint cycle.
Maintain and version-control analysis artefacts in Confluence, ensuring documentation remains current and accessible to all team members.
Scrum Master Responsibilities
Facilitate all Agile ceremonies for the CRS feature team — daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives — ensuring they are purposeful, timeboxed, and outcome-driven.
Coach and mentor team members and stakeholders on Agile values, Scrum principles, and best practices, fostering a culture of self-organisation and continuous improvement.
Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is healthy, well-prioritised, and that upcoming stories are refined and ready for development.
Proactively identify and remove impediments — whether process, technical, or organisational — that hinder the team’s ability to deliver.
Track and communicate sprint metrics including velocity, burndown, and sprint goal progress to the team and stakeholders.
Protect the team from external interruptions and scope creep during active sprints, redirecting requests through the appropriate backlog process.
Drive retrospective actions to completion and measure the effectiveness of process improvements over time.
Support the team’s Agile maturity journey and contribute to wider delivery practice improvements across the platform team.
