About the role
As Product Owner within Energy Markets & Treasury Risk (EMTR), you'll lead the delivery and ongoing optimisation of the products and platforms that support AGL's trading, treasury and risk functions. Acting as the link between business, technology and vendor partners, you'll translate business needs into scalable solutions, manage product roadmaps and backlogs, and drive continuous improvement.
A key focus will be modernising the Credit Risk onboarding framework, using technology, data and workflow expertise to transform a manual process into a scalable, efficient and sustainable solution that strengthens governance and controls.
What you’ll be doing:
Own and shape critical EMTR platforms – manage product roadmaps, backlogs and priorities, translating business needs into scalable solutions that support AGL's trading, treasury and risk functions.
Lead and support major strategic transformation initiatives that uplift EMTR capabilities across technology, data, workflow, governance and operating models, helping the business modernise how it manages risk, controls and decision making.
Influence key stakeholders – partner with business leaders, Technology teams and external vendors to deliver impactful outcomes and ensure successful product delivery.
Act as a trusted advisor – provide expert guidance on product strategy, technology solutions, workflow and delivery approaches across a complex and evolving environment.
About you:
Previous demonstrated experience working as a Product Owner or similar preferably within the energy environment.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability across diverse senior stakeholders.
Excellent problem solving and decision-making.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong organisational capability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment.
