Shape the next generation of our software solutions for X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and contribute your expertise in laboratory applications, material characterization, and agile product development to innovative measurement systems. Working closely with Product Managers, Requirements Engineers, and other stakeholders, you will define the requirements for our material characterization software solutions and drive their successful implementation together with the software development team.
Job Description- Act as the central interface between Product Management, stakeholders, and the software development team to ensure efficient and effective collaboration
- Develop, analyze, and document requirements for instrument software in close cooperation with Product Managers, Systems Engineers, UX Designers, and end users
- Structure and translate requirements into User Stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized work packages
- Maintain, prioritize, and continuously refine the Product Backlog to support an efficient agile development process
- Monitor project progress and present results during Sprint Reviews
- Review and validate implemented software features to ensure functionality and compliance with user requirements
- Validate and optimize new software features through hands-on testing on modern XRD systems in the laboratory
- Support Product and Application Specialists within the XRD product area
- Completed higher education in a technical or scientific discipline (e.g. Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field)
- Solid knowledge of or practical experience with X-ray Diffraction (XRD) or comparable analytical measurement techniques
- Strong affinity for software development, digital technologies, and software solutions in the field of material characterization
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear specifications for software development teams
- Hands-on laboratory experience using modern analytical instruments
- Strong teamwork skills and a deep understanding of user needs and requirements
- Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum or Kanban) as a Product Owner or in a comparable role is an advantage
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) is an advantage
- Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken

We offer a fair and market-aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade – adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labor market.
