As a Product Owner, Sales Enablement , you will have the unique opportunity to play a crucial role in developing long-term strategies for Sales capabilities for all Markets and Products in U.S. Group Benefits. You will be at the forefront of supporting the Agile Delivery of these capabilities on the Salesforce.com instances within the Group Benefits Sales Enablement and Dental Provider Network areas, aligning with shared services and other Agile Release Trains to deliver cutting-edge products and services for the Group business.
You will be responsible for building strong working relationships across business and technology to drive coordination and collaboration. You will build partnerships and bring the right people to the table to resolve issues and reduce risk, creating alignment. You will also ensure that features are delivered quickly and completely, understanding that every release is a chance to improve the customer experience and act with urgency.
In this role, you will also be expected to pursue excellence in all aspects of your work, continuously striving to improve processes, products, and services to deliver the best possible outcomes for customers and stakeholders.
As a product owner, you will be responsible for:
• Influencing the strategy for the product, based on customer needs, market trends, and business goals, and communicating it to the agile release train and other stakeholders.
• Defining and prioritizing the epics and features that deliver customer and business value, and creating roadmaps that align with the agile release train.
• Coaching and collaborating with the product owners and the agile team to ensure the features and stories are clearly understood, refined, and delivered, and leading the creation of business scenarios and supporting details for testing and validation.
• Building and managing relationships with product teams, sales and market leadership, and technology partners to identify and address opportunities and challenges for customer experience enhancements, and proactively solving product related problems.
• Working closely with product management, customers, business owners, and other stakeholders to create viable and sustainable plans, and seeking and incorporating feedback into the solutions, and ensuring completeness and timely execution.
• Being accountable for the delivery outcomes and decisions that solve product related problems and tracking and measuring the value delivered by the product increments, using objectives and key results and other metrics.
• Being the voice of the customer and the business needs at the program and team level, and being a leader that empowers, influences, and connects among key stakeholders and experts.

• You manage expectations with partners and ensure timely delivery of all artifacts.
What will the Product Owner for Sales Enablement do?
• Elaborate features and user stories to meet business and operations expectations.
• As part of the leadership team for the ART, you will support and represent the Product Manager and the Business Owner by breaking down the vision and ideas/epics into features and user stories and maintain a cohesive product backlog.
• Refine the descriptions and benefit hypothesis to align with the customer strategy and user experience.
• Gather the customer needs and how they relate to MetLife's product and market vision and turn high-level ideas into specific and defined solutions.
• Ensure proper documentation is provided to partner teams for commercial and operational readiness.
• Prioritize the stories for the agile team to deliver valuable and coherent solutions.
• Collaborate with your agile team, the Scrum Master, the Product Manager, the Customers, the Business Owners, and other stakeholders to plan and get feedback.
• Help define, refine, prioritize, and accept the work by an Agile team to meet the feature acceptance criteria and maintain a sustainable pace.
• Answer questions from the agile team to avoid delays. You will collaborate with POs on other teams to help the ART achieve its objectives.
What does the Job Require?
• 5+ Years of Salesforce.com development and/or administrative experience. Certifications are a plus
• 3+ Knowledge of digital platforms Agile development and operations
• Detail oriented, gathering the appropriate level of feature and user story descriptions and benefit hypothesis.
• Looking across the solution with a strategic mindset, always driving what is best for the customer.
• Seize Opportunity - Think critically and challenge assumptions, identifying areas of improvement and continuously driving the best solutions.
• Seek Diverse Perspectives - Be consultative around the problems being solved, sourcing ideas and feedback from multiple people and areas.
• Deliver what Matters - Practice keen negotiation skills, driving and prioritizing the best customer experience even if that doesn't directly tie to the original requirements.
• Create Alignment - Build partnerships and bring the right people to the table to resolve issues and reduce risk -
• Act with Urgency - Ensure features are delivered quickly and completely, understanding that every release is a chance to improve the customer experience -
• Take Responsibility - Be accountable for the subject matter and accurate delivery of business documentation, knowing that details matter -
• Preferred: Experience with SAFe Agile framework desired. Knowledge of group benefits products, operational processes and systems is also a benefit.
The salary range for applicants for this position is $80,000-134,000.
