As a global team at the heart of Roche, we are a community of business-minded technologists committed to help shape tomorrow’s digital future of healthcare. Our mission is to power Roche through cutting-edge digital technologies, harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence, data, and scalable tech innovations. Driven by purpose and passion, we’re building a future where digital is a core strength across all of Roche, enabling smarter ways of working, unlocking human potential, and driving breakthroughs that truly matter for millions of patients around the world.
At Roche, we offer a hybrid work model that combines flexibility with in-person collaboration. For now, we require our employees to be in our offices on average two days per week. The specific office days may vary depending on business needs, such as workshops, conferences, town halls, team meetings, and other collaborative events.
The opportunity:We are seeking a strategic Product Owner to lead the evolution of our Data, Analytics & AI ecosystem. You will own the roadmap for D&I initiatives, ensuring we deliver seamless, automated customer service experiences while navigating complex stakeholder environments and critical technical migrations. It requires a strong understanding of our specific data ecosystems, integration patterns (e.g., between Genesys, Salesforce, and Snowflake), and AI capabilities to guide decisions and shape direction. Working across organizational boundaries, your focus is on aligning business priorities with technology, driving ownership, and orchestrating execution in a complex matrix rather than mere process coordination.
Product Vision & Strategy: Own the end-to-end roadmap for Analytics & AI solutions. Define the "what" and "why" to drive adoption, balancing the need for global standardization with the agility required for local market success.
Stakeholder & Change Management: Act as the primary interface for key market affiliates. Proactively manage the "Global vs. Local" dynamic, building business cases that demonstrate the value of Data, Analytics & AI to markets that may have established legacy solutions or strong operational preferences.
Lean Team Execution: Operates in a lean, cross-functional environment with shared resources. Influence outcomes and align workstreams without direct line management authority.
Who you are:
Deep expertise in delivering Data/AI/ML-driven solutions within highly regulated industries (Pharma, Life Sciences, or MedTech).
Conversational AI Expertise: Demonstrated experience designing, iterating, and optimizing complex, multi-turn conversational flows, including managing persona, tone, "barge-in" scenarios, and error handling to ensure natural interactions.
Voice-Specific UX (VUI): Proven track record in defining interaction design patterns that minimize latency and manage turn-taking, maintaining customer trust through robust fallback mechanisms.
Technical Migration Strategy: Experience leading products through telephony platform transitions (e.g., Cisco to Genesys) or modernization efforts, with a strong grasp of the operational impact on customer-facing teams.
Influencing Without Authority: Proven ability to drive product adoption in decentralized organizations, negotiating with resistant stakeholders by pivoting strategies to solve local pain points rather than forcing "one-size-fits-all" solutions.
AI/Analytics Product Lifecycle: End-to-end ownership from concept to production, including model development, deployment, and performance monitoring.
Strategic Delivery: Ability to translate complex market trends and business needs into actionable, high-impact product roadmaps.
Analytical Leadership: Data-driven decision-making, with the ability to perform complex requirements analysis and evaluate technology fit for large-scale enterprise environments.
Testing & QA: Expertise in end-to-end testing frameworks for chatbots & voicebots, including simulated call scenarios to validate flow logic and backend system integrations (e.g., Salesforce, Rexis).
Voice Orchestration: Proficiency with industry-standard conversational AI platforms (e.g., Cognigy, Genesys Designer, Google Dialogflow). Understanding of the technical integration of STT/TTS engines into enterprise telephony architecture.
NLU/NLP Optimization: Understanding of how to train/refine natural language models, including custom lexicon development, phonetic transcription tuning, and managing context-awareness for technical terminology and product names.
Stakeholder Diplomacy: Exceptional ability to act as a trusted advisor to global and local stakeholders. Proven capability to resolve conflict, facilitate workshops, and secure alignment in decentralized organizations.
Transformation Mindset: You are not just managing a backlog; you are leading a product transformation. You possess a strong coaching mindset, capable of championing accountability and connecting team development with business objectives.
Resilience & Adaptability: A track record of driving product adoption in complex environments where you must influence outcomes and roadmap decisions without direct line management authority.
