About Team:
RX Global aims to create unforgettable experiences for attendees and exhibitors through organizing events. Innovation, creativity, and collaboration drive the company to offer exceptional services to clients.
About the role:
The Product Owner/Business Analyst is a hands on, outcome focused product role within RX’s At Show Products group within the Digital Products portfolio.
Working in close partnership with Senior Product Managers based in the UK, the Product Manager II operates within defined problem and solution spaces, contributing strong problem understanding, creative challenge, prioritisation support, and delivery phase judgement. The role focuses on execution quality, customer outcomes, implementation expertise, and facilitating learning.
Success in this role comes from caring deeply about whether products actually work for customers in live environments — and acting decisively when they don’t.
Responsibilities:
Customer & Problem Understanding
- Build a deep, first‑hand understanding of customer needs, behaviours, and constraints in trade show usage contexts.
- Represent customer and business context within the delivery team.
- Frame problems clearly and test assumptions using both qualitative insight and quantitative data.
Product Delivery & Execution
- Partner with engineering, design, delivery management and data analytics to enable effective delivery within agreed scope and constraints.
- Provide sufficient context, clarity, and specification to unblock teams and sustain momentum.
- Make pragmatic trade‑offs and decisions during delivery, balancing value, feasibility, reliability, and time.
Partnership with Senior Product Managers
- Work closely with UK‑based Senior Product Managers as an execution partner and an SME who can constructively challenge solutions.
- Carry delivery realities, technology options, customer insight, and learning into roadmap and prioritisation discussions.
- Support the successful execution and monitoring of agreed product and technology work.
Validation, Learning & Reliability
- Validate product hypotheses through appropriate data, experimentation, and real‑world feedback.
- Monitor product behaviour in live show conditions, identifying reliability or adoption issues early.
- Feed learning back into iterative improvement and prioritisation cycles.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate effectively with commercial, product success, marketing, and sales teams to support adoption and operability.
- Contribute to coordinated releases and dependency management where user journeys span multiple teams.
- Lead product demos or reviews at key milestones, clearly articulating outcomes, trade‑offs, and learning.
What This Role Is — and Is Not
This role is:
- Strongly delivery‑ and outcome‑oriented — get stuff done
- Focused on idea validation, execution quality, local leadership, and reliable value creation
- A critical, high-trust partnering role to senior product leadership
- Part of the core product team and integral to the RX India team creating impact
- Important to negotiating cross-team dependencies at the delivery level
This role is NOT:
- Responsible for “what and why” at the level of commissioning new products and features
- Responsible for product vision or product strategy
- Required to invest much time beyond in backlog administration
Requirements:
Requirements and Backlog
- Define and prioritise a value-based product backlog, including functional features and (with the Tech Lead) technical and compliance items
- Elicit and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure stories are well-defined, appropriately sized, and sprint-ready
- Drive the solution within boundaries shaped by the PM — making active trade-offs on what gets built
- Elicit and define specifications for implementation with enough detail for the team to move forward
Business Analysis
- Identify assumptions, dependencies, edge cases, and operational impacts
- Distinguish documented fact from assumption and inference
- Create process maps and requirements documentation that are testable and traceable
- Provide clarification and handle requirements changes during sprint execution
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary product point of contact for the delivery team
- Facilitate the team's understanding of business context — the what and why
- Engage stakeholders to understand needs and goals, and accurately relay that input
- Keep management updated on implementation progress via sprint demos and reports
- Tailor communication to different audiences (team, PM, business stakeholders)
Agile Delivery
- Participate actively in planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
- Support the Delivery Manager in ensuring value delivery against requirements
- Support release readiness activities (pre-release support for Product Partners)
- Support the PM in discovery activities where needed
Analytics and Data Literacy
- Using dashboards (Mixpanel, PowerBI) to generate simple insights and inform trade-offs
- Assessing basic data quality; connecting product work to OKRs and outcomes
Product and Domain Knowledge
- Become the subject matter expert (SME) - how the product works end-to-end, system connections, and business value
- Respond appropriately to live event issues with suitable urgency
Technical Awareness
- Broad awareness of the technical architecture and platform constraints
- Ability to speak credibly with engineers about implementation boundaries
Nice-to-Have
Discovery and Research Support
- Applying common discovery tools (interviews, jobs-to-be-done, journey mapping) to directly support the PM's discovery responsibilities
- Understanding when to seek specialist data analytics support
Go-to-Market Awareness
- Understanding how product features contribute to revenue, retention, and commercial value
- Awareness of how products are rolled out to business units and show teams
