About the Role
We are looking for a Product Owner to lead and develop our Acquiring product at COLIBRIX ONE — a fully licensed EMI (FCA & MFSA), principal member of Visa and Mastercard, building AI-powered payment infrastructure for PSPs, EMIs, and neobanks across the EU and UK.
This is not a generic acquiring role. We're looking for someone who understands the mechanics of subscription and recurring payment models — including billing logic, payment recovery, and chargeback management — and who can think at scale: across merchant portfolios, payment ecosystems, and product strategy.
Responsibilities
Own the Acquiring Product

  • Define and drive the product roadmap for acquiring
  • Own the full product lifecycle — from discovery and prioritization to launch and post-launch optimization
  • Manage backlog and priorities based on metrics, strategy, and merchant needs
  • Translate market needs into clear product decisions with a long-term vision

Subscriptions & Recurring Payments

  • Lead product development across recurring billing flows: CIT, MIT, card-on-file, retries, and dunning
  • Improve authorization rates, recovery rates, and overall recurring payment performance
  • Work with PSPs and orchestration providers to optimize routing and processing

Compliance & Scheme Expertise

  • Ensure full compliance with Visa and Mastercard rules, including recurring payment regulations
  • Apply deep knowledge of authorization, clearing, settlement, 3DS, and tokenization
  • Manage subscription-specific risk: chargebacks, friendly fraud, trial abuse, and scheme thresholds
  • Support KYC/KYB and AML requirements across merchant categories

Merchant & Market Focus

  • Understand the needs of both high-risk and low-risk merchant categories
  • Assess subscription business models: unit economics, churn, fraud exposure
  • Identify opportunities to improve approval rates and merchant experience at scale

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with risk, compliance, legal, finance, and engineering teams
  • Facilitate Agile practices within the product team
  • Support go-to-market efforts in collaboration with marketing and partners

What We're Looking For
Must-Have

  • Experience in product management within fintech / payments / card acquiring
  • Proven experience with subscription and recurring payment models
  • Direct experience working with Visa and Mastercard as a principal member
  • Deep understanding of scheme rules, recurring billing compliance, and chargeback management

Risk & Compliance Knowledge

  • Expertise in chargebacks in subscription environments
  • Solid knowledge of Visa / Mastercard thresholds and recurring payment rules
  • Familiarity with 3DS, tokenization, KYC/KYB, AML

Product & Commercial Skills

  • Ability to think at scale — across merchants, products, and ecosystems
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Ability to assess business models and translate insights into product priorities


Additional

  • Fluent English; Russian is an asset
  • Ownership mindset and ability to operate independently
  • Experience with card processor integrations is a plus
