Product Operations Manager

ServiceChannel is the leading cloud-based service automation platform for facility management. We offer a single platform to source, procure, manage, and pay for repair and maintenance services from commercial contractors. ServiceChannel is well established, but even after over 25 years we still retain the spirit of a startup. We are primed for success, and we are currently on a high growth trajectory. We are committed to creating a great product for our customers and a great work environment for our employees to succeed professionally and personally.

ServiceChannel's Product team is looking for a well-rounded Product Operations Manager with strong product operations fundamentals. You'll run program management for our innovation projects, drive the team through our planning & development cycle, facilitate our portfolio management reporting cadence, and help pull together the inputs behind the business cases and ROI analysis that shape what gets prioritized. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-growth environment and wants a strategic seat on a revenue-driven team building something great.

The Product team at ServiceChannel is responsible for our core platform, bringing innovative solutions to customers seeking to find service providers, plan repair and maintenance work across multiple sites, invoice providers, and analyze the effectiveness of the work. They are also tasked with driving key features that help our customers manage the work of their own in-house technicians. Expect growth on this team, as we encourage taking risks, failing fast, and taking on projects that not only drive our product forward, but that you feel passionately about as well. While you may not have experience in the field of Facilities Management, you know what it takes to build complex software, and are ready to gain the domain expertise required to become a hands-on leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run program management for innovation projects — drive ideas from concept through business model approval, keeping teams aligned, unblocked, and on schedule.
  • Drive the team's planning & development cycles — from the annual roadmapping cycle that sets up next year's portfolio plan to scoping reviews and handling cross-team dependencies or blockers.
  • Support the monthly portfolio reporting cadence — partnering with the team to deliver strategic updates on key projects and initiatives to senior leaders, and preparing the standard work that gives detailed visibility across the portfolio.
  • Support business cases and ROI analysis for product investments — gathering inputs and pressure-testing assumptions with Product Leadership so prioritization decisions are grounded in data.
  • Drive operational excellence through streamlined processes, increased efficiency, and best practices, while fostering innovation and continuously improving operational delivery.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with peers, stakeholders, and executives, ensuring open and effective communication.
  • Exhibit excellent judgment on sensitive and cross-functional issues, fostering collaboration between leadership, the operating team, and the broader organization to drive resolution.
  • Approach complex business challenges with an entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and a focus on data-driven results and tangible outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Project/Program Management or Product Operations.
  • Experience running or supporting a portfolio governance or reporting cadence and an annual planning/roadmapping cycle.
  • Experience leading programs and projects with cross-functional impact, including hands-on project management of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent organization skills and a track record of dependable follow-through.
  • Demonstrated record of problem-solving, influencing, and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written professional skills; ability to compile and present data, insights, and recommendations to different audiences, including executives.
  • Ability to lead by influence and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365, Jira, Miro, and other Project Management tools in an enterprise environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and experience with a SaaS solutions provider
  • Strong understanding of Product & Engineering organization functions and cross functional dependencies
  • Experience building or supporting a business case, ROI model, or investment analysis.
  • Working knowledge of SaaS financial metrics (i.e., ARR, gross margin) and how product decisions move them
  • Familiarity with portfolio governance and stage-gate style frameworks, by any name
