Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic Product Marketing Engineer to join our Industrial Fiber Product Division team in Regensburg, Germany. Our fiber optic and sensor products are utilized worldwide in mission critical applications, including power generation and transmission, industrial drives, transit/trains, medical imaging, drones and robots.

As a Product Marketing Engineer, you will support Regional Marketing Managers, Sales, and R&D teams to introduce new products and maximize the value of our existing portfolio across the entire product lifecycle. You will also own critical commercial processes, including quoting, forecasting, and marketing collateral development.

Key Responsibilities

Product Lifecycle and Market Introduction

  • Drive New Product Introductions (NPI) by leading the market entry process and manage margin calculation for upcoming products.
  • Portfolio Management: oversee the product lifecycle including product launches, changes, and obsolescences.
  • Web Presence: Set up and maintain product pages on Broadcom’s website.

Commercial Strategy and Operations

  • Forecasting and Analysis: Partner with regional marketing and sales teams to deliver regular, data-driven product-level forecasts.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive market and competitor analyses to identify new opportunities and threats.
  • Pricing & Quoting: Collaborate with regional marketing managers to efficiently respond to quote requests.
     

Technical Marketing & Collaboration

  • Content Creation: Produce high-impact technical marketing materials, including whitepapers, webinars, and technical trainings.
  • Event Support: Assist with preparation and execution for industry trade shows showcasing Broadcom's solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Act as a proactive liaison connecting management, R&D, customers, and internal/external partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Physics or closely related discipline
  • 6+ years of experience in product management or technical marketing in a B2B environment

Desired Skills and Expertise

  • Profound knowledge of optical semiconductor devices and/or optical communication and sensors
  • Solid background balancing semiconductor technology with business economics
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to optimize productivity and execute marketing tasks efficiently
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google sheets for financial modelling and forecasting

  • Spoken and written proficiency in English. A willingness to learn German and develop local communication skills is highly valued.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; a collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • Openness to master and utilize Broadcom’s proprietary product management tools.
  • Act as an interface to sales and R&D as well as to customers and distributors.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
