As a Product Marketeer, you are responsible for awakening the wishes of our target consumers by convincing them that our products are the right choice for their gardening needs! As the interface between Product Management and Brand you will provide the right product communication for new product launches and existing ranges within the Pump/Powered Garden Tools. Thus resulting in a significant contribution to the growth and success of the Business Unit Battery & Electric.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and develop value propositions and product communications on a category, range or product level within the Business Unit Battery & Electric
  • Analyse and interpret consumer/market insights to help define value propositions and messaging for specific target groups.
  • Understand consumer profiles, purchasing journey and buying attitudes for products.
  • Responsible for translating product solution concepts and features into easy to understand messaging/stories tailored towards different consumer target groups. With a strong justification why to buy over competitors.
  • Briefing, creation, proofing & approval of all Product Tool Kit assets in line with brand guidelines including photography, videos, messaging and packaging etc.
  • Grow application and product expertise through hands on product use.
  • Close co-operation with various teams such as Product Management, Brand & Marketing, External Agencies as well as across other Business Units.
  • Responsible for understanding competitor products, messaging & value offers.
  • Support internal sell in assets & present at events such as Go-Live.
  • Work closely with Brand and Marketing teams (centrally/locally) to collect feedback and insights throughout the season.
  • Ensure all relevant product marketing information and data is available

Qualifications:

  • Degree in marketing or similar qualification
  • Must have a strong experience in marketing or product communication in consumer goods industry. Gardening or DIY would be an advantage
  • Fluent language skills in both German and English
  • Ability to interrupt consumer insights & define a clear product value proposition
  • A passion to be hands on with product & an interest in gardening / DIY activities
  • Customer thinking - ability to tailor product communication to different users
  • Good at presenting and communicating complex topics simply at all levels
  • High level of self-motivation, drive to succeed & enjoys working in teams
  • Excellent skills in planning and multi-tasking
