Job Overview:
The Business Product Manager will be responsible for driving the development, enhancement, and commercialization of PalmPay’s digital financial products and services. The role will bridge the gap between business objectives, customer needs, and technology capabilities to deliver innovative and scalable fintech solutions. The position will focus on identifying market opportunities, defining product strategies, and managing the lifecycle of financial products such as digital payments, merchant services, wallet features, and embedded financial services. The Business Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams including technology, compliance, operations, partnerships, and marketing to ensure successful product design, launch, and continuous improvement. The role will also ensure that all products align with regulatory requirements, operational feasibility, and PalmPay’s broader strategic goals in the digital payments ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Market Alignment:
  • Identify market opportunities within the digital payments and financial services ecosystem.
  • Define product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategies aligned with fintech industry trends.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking across MFS, banks, and PSP players.
  • Design products tailored to local market needs including financial inclusion and digital adoption.

Product Development & Lifecycle Management:
  • Manage end-to-end product lifecycle for fintech products (wallet, payments, merchant solutions, etc.).
  • Prepare Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories, and workflows.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions.
  • Lead UAT, product testing, and production rollout.

Payments & Ecosystem Integration:
  • Design and manage payment flows including add money, cash-out, P2P, P2M, bill payments, and settlements.
  • Oversee integrations with banks, payment gateways, switches, and third-party service providers.
  • Ensure smooth interoperability within the national payment ecosystem.

Regulatory & Compliance Management:
  • Ensure all products comply with central bank regulations, AML/CFT guidelines, KYC requirements, and data privacy standards.
  • Work closely with Compliance, Risk, and Legal teams during product design and launch.
  • Incorporate fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, and risk controls into product features.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements related to product usage and transactions.
Stakeholder & Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, and Partnerships teams.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams for requirement clarity and delivery.
  • Manage external stakeholders, including banks, partners, and vendors.

Customer Experience & Financial Inclusion:
  • Design user-centric products ensuring ease of use, accessibility, and trust.
  • Analyze customer behavior to improve onboarding, engagement, and retention.
  • Support initiatives that promote financial inclusion and digital adoption.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
  • Track product KPIs such as transaction volume, success rate, revenue, customer growth, and churn.
  • Monitor system performance, including uptime, latency, and failure rates.
  • Continuously improve products based on analytics, feedback, and market trends.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in fintech, digital banking, or payment systems.
  • Strong understanding of payment flows, transaction lifecycle, and settlement processes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (Bangladesh Bank guidelines, AML/CFT, KYC).
  • Experience working in agile/scrum environments.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with payment switches, APIs, and integrations
  • Familiarity with fraud risk management and transaction monitoring systems
  • Knowledge of interoperability frameworks (e.g., QR, NPSB, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with product analytics tools
