The Role: Join us as Product Manager at S&P Global Energy, where you will lead the development and delivery of the product roadmap for one of our internal platforms. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams, analysis of user feedback, and prioritization of features will drive continuous improvement and enhance the user experience of our internal tools.

  • In the role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering market and pricing information to support the S&P Global Energy strategic goals, Drive Operational Excellence, Innovating Evolving Market Structures, and Advancing Benchmarks.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of the product roadmap for our market and source relationship management on internal platforms.
  • Manage the day-to-day support for these platforms, acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders and users to address their needs and concerns. 
  • Gather, analyse and prioritise user feedback to drive impactful product enhancements.
  • Guide the technology team to execute the platform roadmap using your sound technical and project management skills within an Agile framework.

-Create, maintain, and prioritise a product backlog according to business value.

-Ensure effective user stories are created and provide the business vision and direction to the development team.

-Review developer estimates, understand dependencies and QA planning, and authorize initiatives for release.  

-Validate product development work, conduct business demos that merge technical and business topics into quality roadshows, and provide sign-off for releases in Production.  

  • Oversee risk management, issue resolution, and platform resilience.  
  • Engage with the broader Product team to ensure alignment across initiatives and leverage existing technology.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years’ product management experience as a Product Manager. Experience in commodity product platforms, system design, workflow optimization or agile software development is a plus.
  • A proven track record of driving projects to successful completion, consistently delivering on scope, on time, and within budget.
  • A strong user mindset, with the ability to engage effectively with users and build a collaborative partnership mentality demonstrating sufficient subject matter expertise.
  • The ability to translate user needs into valuable product features.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with both Agile Scrum and Lean methodologies, demonstrating adaptability and efficiency in product management.
  • An understanding of the basic concepts of data analysis (using SQL), APIs and leveraging AI & Machine Learning to enable workflows
