Reimagining the infrastructure of cancer care.
The Role
Reimagine the infrastructure of cancer care within a community that values integrity, inspires growth, and is uniquely positioned to create a more modern, connected oncology ecosystem.
We're looking for a Product Manager to help us accomplish our mission to improve and extend lives by learning from the experience of every person with cancer. Are you ready to be the next changemaker in cancer care?
What you'll do
In this role, you'll work with engineering, data science, design, research oncology, and operations teams, among others, to build our clinical trials products, used by both oncologists to provide patient care and life science partners to accelerate drug development. You'll be responsible for creating the product vision, owning the development of the product roadmap, establishing KPIs that map to business objectives, and leading the initiative team to deliver on-time, high quality products. In addition, you'll also:
  • Lead problem solving discussions with internal stakeholders (e.g., Product Design, Software Engineering, Data Insights Engineering, Operations, Clinical Oncology, and Marketing) to ensure that all necessary inputs are considered and the team collectively makes sound, data-driven decisions
  • Recognize ambiguous or undefined problems as opportunities; be intellectually curious and hungry to learn about new areas
  • Be the voice of our customers; empathize with sites treating patients and understand complex problems faced by our life science partners
  • Manage and drive software projects with high technical risk, regulatory considerations, and high cross-functional coordination complexity

Who you are
You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. In addition, you have between 3-5 years as a product manager with experience in software development. You're excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day. You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who seeks and gives candid feedback, and values the chance to make an important impact.
  • You have a BA/BS degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • You have strong project management skills and excellent organizational and communication skills
  • You have a strong understanding of software projects' development, roll-out, and support risks
  • You have strong technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, challenges, and risks
  • A willingness to dive deep into the subject matter and become a product expert in your area of ownership
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills

If this sounds like you, you'll fit right in at Flatiron.
Extra Credit
  • If you have experience working on Electronic Data Capture (EDC) Systems or EHRs
  • If you have experience in clinical research space
  • If you are comfortable reading technical documents like API documents

Where you'll work
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and 3 office days set by you and your team. For more information on our approach to hybrid work, please visit the how we work website.
