What You’ll Do
- Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, ensuring alignment with the broader business objectives.
- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits and phone calls to customers and non-customers.
- Driving a solution set across development teams through the authoring of requirements and user stories. Daily interaction with software developers and testers, guiding teams on strategic priorities.
- Mentoring and supporting junior Product Managers, providing guidance on best practices, market analysis, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Working with Marketing to produce product collateral, sales tools, and go-to-market strategies.
- Training both Sales Support and Technical Support in the use and operations of the product, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver value to customers.
- Supporting the Sales team during the sales process, including assistance with demonstrations and deployments, typically for large opportunities or key customers.
- Attending industry conferences and trade shows, making presentations and networking to promote product positioning and gather market insights.
- Maintaining a current knowledge of competitive product positioning, feature sets, messaging, and industry trends to ensure products meet market demands.
Experience You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Senior Product Manager, or 7 years’ experience as a Product Manager in an Enterprise Software company, with additional experience in a senior or lead role preferred.
- Demonstrated success in defining and launching high-impact products, with experience leading cross-functional projects.
- Excellent understanding of software development processes, product life cycle, and agile methodologies.
- Strong written, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of customers and internal stakeholders.
- Professionalism in creating and delivering presentations and training sessions, customizing messaging to suit diverse audiences.
- Ability to effectively conduct both formal and informal training sessions and presentations.
- Proven multi-tasking and problem-resolution skills, with a high capacity for prioritizing and managing time effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and partner effectively across teams to achieve business results.
- Experience in mentoring or coaching team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- MBA or a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of current software technologies, market trends, and strategic positioning.
- Experience with Android, Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows Server platforms is a plus.
- This position requires travel and trade show attendance (must maintain a valid passport at all times).
