Primary responsibilities
- Product Strategy: Define and own the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Product Roadmap: Develop and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing features based on business needs, customer feedback, and market research.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Customer Insight: Gather and analyse customer feedback, market trends, and competitor products to inform product decisions.
- Feature Development: Lead the development and launch of new product features, including defining clear product requirements and ensuring timely delivery.
- Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product performance and ensure continuous improvement.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market plans and ensure successful product launches.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Act as the main point of contact between all teams involved in the product lifecycle.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the full product lifecycle, from concept to launch, and through post-launch evaluation and optimization.
Key skills and competencies
- Technical Skills: Understanding of software development processes and technologies, and ability to translate technical concepts into clear requirements.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse data and make informed decisions based on insights and performance metrics
- Agile Methodology: Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Market & Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer needs and market trends to inform product decisions.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a creative, customer-centric mindset.
- Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and working under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Leadership: Ability to influence and motivate teams without direct authority, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Preferred experience and/or qualifications
- 2-5 Years experience as a Product Manager
- Bachelor’s Degree is generally required; an MBA or advanced degree is often preferred but not always required
- Experience in SaaS (bonus if in hospitality or retail)
- Proficiency with analytics and product management tools
- Familiarity with go-to-market and product launch strategies.
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles and experience working closely with design teams.
