SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, the Product Manager is responsible for determining the business strategy for a specific market within the Industrial Business Unit. Initial business and marketing strategies will be determined based on customer needs, competition, and market potential. Once the key strategies are approved, the Product Manager will work closely with sales managers, distribution partners, end users, and the National Sales Manager to execute the business and marketing strategies.

The Product Manager is responsible for both upstream new product development as well as supporting downstream sales execution.  The product manager must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. It is important for the Product Manager to develop first-hand knowledge of market needs through interaction with original equipment manufacturers, end-users and channel partners.
