We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the product strategy for how Jama Software wins in the market, prioritizes what gets built, and what defines success. You'll own long-running product initiatives but share ownership of the product. To that end, you will build and manage the business constraints for your initiatives, you’ll have opinions on where we should be taking the product from a business value and user value perspective, and you’ll keep teams adequately supplied with a healthy, well-defined backlog. You’ll build trust with your collaborators in Product Marketing, Engineering, Business Development, and Customer Success by being direct, open, and honest about what you will and will not deliver to support the business needs of our customers in regulated and unregulated industries. This position will contribute directly to a critical area of our product roadmap and work with key team members to help define product innovation strategy and bring new, differentiated capabilities to market.

What You'll Do: 

  • Act as primary subject matter expert and leading the product strategy and roadmap for assigned segments of the Jama Software product line 
  • Create business cases and product requirements documentation to justify and define new development projects 
  • Manage feature iteration and collaborating with scrum team throughout the product lifecycle 
  • Collaborate with Product Design on concepts and prototypes, and Engineering on development execution 
  • Develop deep understanding of client needs and market trends, through client interaction and other market research 
  • Communicate the product roadmap for assigned areas with key stakeholders 

What You'll Bring: 

  • 3 to 5 years of in enterprise software product management experience.
  • Must be experienced at working iteratively in an agile or lean environment, and able to break down large problems into smaller valuable increments.

Nice to Have: 

  • Product Management certification (Pragmatic Institute or other)  
  • Domain experience in systems engineering, particularly in regulated industries, is preferred as Jama Software’s customers build mission-critical hardware/software systems 
  • Data-Driven decision making 
  • Internal/External Communication skills 
  • Design focused Problem Solving
