Job Title:  Product Manager of Innovation

Location: Addison, Texas

Reports to: Sr. Director of Product Development and Channel Marketing

Travel: up to 50%

 

Job Summary

The Product Manager of Innovation will lead the development and execution of breakthrough product strategies, driving end-to-end lifecycle management from concept through launch across trailer product categories. This role blends user-centered design, market research, and technical collaboration to deliver innovative, scalable solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with a strong passion for innovation, cross-functional teamwork, and driving measurable impact.  This position reports to the Sr. Director of Product Development and Channel Marketing.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Define and drive the innovation product vision across trailer product categories; collaborate with leadership to align vision with business strategy.
  • Lead full product lifecycle management—from concept through launch—for innovative product lines, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Advocate for user-centric design; integrate customer feedback and usability principles into the product development process.
  • Develop and manage innovation product roadmaps, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet milestones and deliverables.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, unmet needs, and white space opportunities for innovation.
  • Define product requirements and collaborate closely with Product Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure the success of new products and ensure accountability across innovation initiatives.
  • Collaborate on pricing strategy and positioning for innovative products to maximize market impact and profitability.
  • Champion a culture of innovation across the organization by promoting experimentation, ideation workshops, and design thinking practices.

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Product Design, or related discipline) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of product management experience, ideally with a focus on innovation or new product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert innovations into scalable business solutions across multiple brands or channels.
  • Comfortable working hands-on with products; willing to engage with dealers, end users, and internal teams to discover pain points and needs.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex concepts in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Passionate about innovation; demonstrates creative problem-solving and outside-the-box thinking.
  • Strong strategic mindset with ability to balance short-term wins with long-term product vision.
  • Experience developing business cases and product pitches for leadership, leveraging customer insights and market data.
  • Familiarity with agile product development methodologies, including sprints, MVPs, and iterative testing.
  • Proven track record of launching successful new products in a competitive market landscape.

Skills Required
