Job Description

From our office in Nootdorp in the Netherlands, you as Product Manager – Remote Technologies will be responsible for overseeing the life cycle of our core remote technology products, from business case, product scoping, product selection (build v buy), through to launch and global uptake. Remote Technologies are a fundamental component of our future strategy. You will play a critical role in defining the vision for our remote products, creating roadmaps and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of a robust and scalable Remote Technologies stack.

You are forward thinking and both technically and commercially aware. You enjoy communicating with a wide range of stakeholders including clients and Fugro teams worldwide. You are flexible in your working hours to accommodate discussions with other Fugro entities, including regular discussions with teams in APAC, Middle East, Europe and America’s. You have a strong interest in building technologies that will support the transformation of our marine business. 

Your role

  • You develop and communicates a clear product direction and roadmap that aligns with company overall goals and business needs;

  • You collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to drive the product development process. You translate business needs and market trends into detailed product requirements and user stories;

  • You defines the innovation budget for a given product that will be invested and monitors overall progress;

  • You are responsible for full commercial deployment of the product and delivering on the business case following the Idea2Value process;

  • You provide clear direction and guidance to cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment;

  • You define product Objectives and Key Result (OKR’s) metrics to evaluate product success. Regularly track and report on these metrics, adjusting priorities as needed to achieve objectives.

Your trackrecord

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Geosciences, Software, Engineering, Robotics or a related field;

  • You have proven experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner in a similar product-focused role, preferably in the technology industry;

  • You have strong understanding of product development methodologies, Agile practices, and project management principles;

  • You demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines;

  • You have outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with stakeholders, engineers, designers, and customers.
