What does a successful Product Manager, Payments Compliance do at Fiserv?
As the Product Manager, Payments Compliance, you will ensure operational business readiness to commercialize and support payments products and services. Your role involves working closely with various teams, including product operations, certification, compliance, business ops, and payment teams, to support the Canadian business from end to end. This includes boarding new merchants, certifying new devices and software vendors, and driving new program requirements. If you’re naturally curious, a problem-solver, and thrive on bringing clarity and alignment across teams, this role is for you.

What you will do:

  • Manage compliance programs in coordination with Visa, MasterCard, and other payment networks to prevent fines and ensure data integrity.
  • Drive internal systems and operational changes to support the evolving payments landscape.
  • Launch new payment products, manage updates to payment products, and execute product EOL initiatives with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure the organization is set up to handle and support new device introductions and payment network updates.
  • Define requirements for internal systems to ensure optimal setup and controls for the commercialization of payments products and services.
  • Build strong partnerships with cross-functional peers and manage day-to-day relationships with key stakeholders, including external vendors and technical personnel from payment networks.
  • Ensure effective management of payment gateways and reconciliation for vendors on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Work closely with business operations, hardware services, compliance, and other critical teams to ensure successful rollouts and programs.

What you will need to have:

  • 2+ years of experience in payments and operations.
  • Proven experience working on projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with a sense of urgency, ensuring accountability and on-time delivery of project deliverables.
  • 3+ years of experience managing relationships with key stakeholders, including external vendors and technical personnel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems design, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.

What would be great to have:

  • Technical degree or certifications in computer science, systems design, or similar.
  • Fluency in French as this role will involve working with the government in Quebec and leading our French localization efforts.
  • 4+ years of experience in technical product delivery for financial systems, payments infrastructure, or certification.
  • Ability to get to the root cause of technical problems and prescribe the best path forward in complex environments.
  • Highly organized, articulate, and capable of creating alignment between teams to get things done.
