Duties and responsibilities

  • Build a deep understanding of the market by monitoring industry and market trends and conducting deep competition analysis.
  • Conduct user research to understand Member needs and behaviors.
  • Track KPIs and analytics across the Membership customer journey.
  • Participate in the creation of business cases to support the prioritization of new business models and functionalities.
  • Materialise product ideas into concepts and business requirements, in collaboration with Digital and Software Development teams utilizing artifacts such as PRDs, user journeys and flow diagrams.
  • Oversight the Membership backlog management in collaboration with Peoplecert’s PMO team.
  • Participate in product testing ensuring a high-quality offering for members.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to participate in product launches, feature announcements, and the creation of relevant product documentation.
  • Work closely with engineering, design/digital, marketing, and sales teams to ensure product development is on schedule and meets quality standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and membership growth objectives, ensuring the product's commercial success and sustainability.

 Required skills and qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or a Solutions Engineer, being able to demonstrate your impact to customers is a must.
  • Product Management experience in any of the following: Consumer Applications, SaaS/Mobile applications, eCommerce or eLearning platforms is a must.
  • Technical knowledge gained either through an engineering degree, or through hands-on experience with technology teams and products
  • Understanding of the Product Development Life Cycle for a digital offering
  • Excellent command of the English language (native-like or C2 level certification desired, or certificate would be a plus)
  • Collaborative leadership: You earn the trust of others and facilitate cooperation between people with different skills through your collaborative style and communication skills.
  • Innately analytical: You start by asking ‘why?’. You are an excellent listener and when you’re presented with data, problems or requests, you focus on posing the right questions rather than jumping to conclusions.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check prior to acommencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

  • If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

o   A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check

o   Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)

o   HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)

o   Financial background check

o   Employment reference check

  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.


In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
