The Role

Position:         Product Manager (Maternity Leave)

A/NZ/Pacific: Construction Equipment and Diamond Tools

Sector/Unit:   Husqvarna Construction Division                  

Reports To:   Regional Marketing Manager JPAC – Construction Division

Location:       Wetherill Park, Sydney. NSW              

Position/Job Description:

Responsible for the development and growth of the product portfolio within existing and new channels and segments of the AUS/NZ/Pacific Region.

Essential Duties:

  • Work with sales and training teams to drive product awareness, product solutions and product expertise to existing and new customers.
  • Work in conjunction with key stakeholders (Sales Management, Sales Team Members, Global Marketing and Global Category Management) to develop strategic plans to successfully promote and increase market share of the product portfolio
  • Analyse the needs of all customer segments across A/NZ/Pac
  • Map current portfolio performance and key competitors by geography across A/NZ/Pac
  • Analyse the sales development of channels, subsegments and products within the portfolio developing action plans to meet key performance indicators
  • Communicate key value proposition of product for internal and external customers 
  • Implementation and review of marketing and sales plans reactive to the current market
  • Put HCD in a leading position with market trends, identifying and managing projects to place us ‘top of mind’
  • Work with the Global Category teams to design and manufacture solutions and developments to suit all channel segments within A/NZ/Pac
  • Manage and champion new product introductions and develop internal / external product training.
  • Liaising with Supply Chain to meet Inventory budgets, demand planning and forecasting while delivering stock availability

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Track record in marketing, brand / product management and or sales management
  • Construction or Industrial Industry experience an advantage
  • Mechanical/technical aptitude with a ‘hands-on’ approach to product portfolio ownership

  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Creative and lateral thinking with initiative and innovation
  • Proven ability to both develop and implement a strategy resulting in growth
  • Excellent planning / organising skills to meet deadlines and manage priorities
  • Computer literacy with an excellent attention to detail and strong problem solving ability
  • Strong customer orientation, internally and externally
  • Positive contributor to the Husqvarna Team environment
  • Workplace Health and Safety focus
