This role is based in Cleveland, Ohio, and is a hybrid work arrangement - individuals may be required to work some days in the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland while working the other days from home.
Organizational Expectations:
The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland has developed a suite of risk management solutions as part of its Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Platform, BWise. The BWise Support Team is tasked with application administration of this Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) application and creates a collaborative environment where Federal Reserve System risk and compliance professionals mature their programs. The team is seeking a leader to set the evolution of the application capabilities in motion by demonstrating a strategic, action-oriented mindset focused on intellectual curiosity, agility, accountability, and the ability to drive innovation through experimentation.
As a Product Manager you will support the development of the strategic roadmap, create business cases, develop high-level requirements, and write features to deliver value to customers. Through gathering market research and being highly attuned to our customer’s needs, wants, and pain points, collaborating with other Product Managers and partners with technical, marketing, analytical and research subject-matter-expertise you’ll be expected to deliver new application features. This position does not have direct reports however to uphold our vision for a people-focused organization with a strong collaborative and innovative culture, we expect our leaders to champion an inclusive environment and demonstrate our values in how we work and interact with each other and our broader community.
General Responsibilities:

Develops strategic and tactical planning for one or more programs.

Works with business stakeholders and executives to identify opportunities that enable business solutions in support of their tactical and strategic objectives.

Accountable for the definition and delivery of clear requirements, both functional and non-functional for assigned business unit.

Accountable for the development and communication of a product roadmap that details priorities and timing of product deliverables.
-
Accountable for the development and communication of UX standards.
-
Serves as the point of escalation to resolve product issues and risk.

Responsible for adhering to and coaching of the departments' implementation of scrum and agile for product management.

Serves as the subject matter expert for their programs.
-
Accountable for achieving departmental performance metrics, and project deliverables on time, with agreed upon scope and within budget.

Accountable for adhering to Bank and Treasury compliance and controls, including maintaining SAFR/FISMA requirements and industry best practices.

Exhibits and manages a culture that drives innovation and continuous improvement.

Provides planning and management for moderate to complex projects, and may provide management of staff including performance feedback, coaching and mentoring.

Participates and/or leads committees/task forces to advance functional and/or Bank initiatives.

Performs administrative and budgeting operations.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Adheres to the Bank's attendance policies though regular and prompt attendance.
Education and Experience:
-
Product Manager I: Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of diverse professional work experience which may include 1+ year of supervisory responsibilities.

Product Manager II: Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of diverse professional work experience including 3+ years of supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge and Skills:
-
Advanced knowledge of Product Management principles and methodologies such as agile

Embodies the principle of customer and stakeholder empathy

Confidently makes decisions with available information, and easily pivots with change

Experience operating products in the cloud is preferred

Knowledge of compliance and control related disciplines and practices

Knowledge of GRC or related risk management application functionality

Experience working with cross-functional software development teams

Strong understanding of the lifecycle of high-availability technical products and services

Knowledge of project management

Knowledge and ability to lead others and manage multiple and time sensitive activities

Ability to effectively lead facilitated discussions

Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air. Some travel within the US is required and can be extensive.
