The Opportunity
Our Princeton, NJ location is seeking a Global Product Manager for the Core Assays Portfolio. This role encompasses global leadership and direction of upstream marketing activities for the i-STAT systems portfolio (i-STAT 1 and i-STAT Alinity). Responsibilities include the development, management, and execution of strategies and tactical programs to ensure effective product lifecycle management. This position is onsite in Princeton, NJ, with no hybrid or remote options.
What you'll work on
- Responsible for directing global marketing activities associated with on-market Assays (examples: blood gases and chemistries)
- Establish marketing strategies for the portfolio of Cardiac/Coagulation Assays including advertising/promotions, pricing strategy, product development, tactical plan development and execution.
- Drive product positioning and competitive selling strategies as well as provide leadership in managing the logistics, market share and revenue of the product.
- Oversee the identification of key segment business drivers, priorities, and growth opportunities.
- Participate in the development of business plans, identify areas of concern, and modify marketing programs to address changes in the marketplace.
- Develop and execute product education, publication, and promotional activities to effectively communicate the strategic positioning and lifecycle development of products to customers.
- Manage ongoing surveillance of emerging technologies and competitive activities
- Plan, manage and execute product discontinuation including development of messaging and communications strategy
- Build strong working relationship with regions and cross functional teams including Labeling & Packaging, Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Demand & Supply Planning, Finance and Operations.
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. Degree
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare marketing and/or sales
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (including presentation and listening skills with senior level staff).
- Demonstrated track record of success in portfolio management, product launches and commercialization.
- Demonstrated ability to market highly technical science
- Initiative and self-motivation; strong work ethic; leadership and team orientation; strong proactive interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with others; ability to work in a matrixed environment, strong cross-functional management by influence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in business, life sciences, engineering, or related technical discipline
- 2+ years with experience in diagnostics, IVD or medical devices, highly preferred
- Possess strong project management skills, with proven ability to clearly define objectives, priorities, develop project plan, and manage to deadlines.
- Understanding of the complexities of the diagnostics market and customer needs
- Technical content experience, highly preferred
- Global experience, highly preferred

The base pay for this position is
$95,000.00 – $190,000.00
