At the direction of and reporting to, the business unit president, across the E&O team, the candidate will be responsible for project management, ensuring customer service meets expected standards, work as a liaison with internal departments (including compliance, filings, audit, finance and operations).
Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:
Assists with developing and writing policy coverage forms and endorsements for new product development or product changes, ensuring compliance with state regulations while meeting business objectives, and providing competitive differences in the marketplace.
Assists with research and analysis of state laws and regulations, advisory opinions, and bulletins; and determines their impact on product offerings and/or on the company.
Assists with the development and implementation of new product development and product changes with product managers, project managers, underwriting operations, and regulatory compliance analysts, ensuring all business objectives and regulatory requirements are met.
Research state requirements for new product offerings and proposed product changes, develops any state-specific forms, rules, or notices, and coordinates any changes in procedures.
Assists with writing specifications for changes needed to production systems for new or updated products.
Updates policyholder notices concerning new product development or product changes to ensure clarity of coverage.
Analyzes, researches, and responds to policy language/coverage questions from product managers, underwriting, underwriting operations, claims and legal. Analyzes and completes case assignments in the company’s legislative and regulatory database, determines if any action is necessary, and coordinates required actions.
Coordinates and/or participates in meetings regarding the design and scope of new product development and product changes.
Conducts research and responds to requests related to cancellations and non-renewals.
Work as liaison with Finance, Compliance and Audit
Work with Distribution to ensure broker plan and marketing materials are current and properly distributed.
Work with Operations on systems product delivery and reporting
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or higher, or equivalent work experience.
Five years of experience in property, casualty, professional liability or related industry experience.
Five years of experience with product development in insurance.
