Job Context
In our technology driven world, we see that the demand for i-line lithography tools will double the coming 5 years in existing and emerging applications. This brings a great opportunity for our i-line products and we need to continue serving our KrF customers. Therefore, we are expanding our roadmap to deliver specific options packages to enable i-line and KrF adoption in emerging More-than-Moore applications (e.g. Power Sic, CMOS image sensors, MEMs sensors, Engineered Optics). Also, this implies we have to step-up our go-to-market marketing and business development activities to increase our systems sales.

Job Mission
Your main mission is to develop new i-line/KrF option products with the MtM product team tailored to the more-than-moore (MtM) applications, introduce them to our customers and drive the business development towards successful new systems sales of i-line and KrF systems into our growth MtM markets.
We operate with an end-to-end responsibility on the i-line P&L, in close collaboration with the Customer Teams to make & execute ambitious business development plans. Within our team, your product focus will be on owning and driving the MtM options. This goes from driving the PGP KD’s, initiating demo’s and evaluations, solving field escalations, doing business development towards customers as well as co-defining new options. Also, you will work closely with the portfolio teams to feedback customer requirements into new products on the roadmap. Within our team, you will contribute to creating and executing the business and sales plans in this diverse market.
Job Description
The candidate will be based in the ASML’s headquarter in Veldhoven (NL) and report to the Director and Head of NPI Product Management i-line and 200 mm systems & Mainstream Market Options, Business Line DUV.
We are searching for a product manager able to:
- Develop and launch the iLine products, with special focus on the XT:400, as well as on the 200 mm systems (XT:400, XT:860, XT:1460)
- Drive business cost-down objectives to successful implementation in our i-line products
- Develop & launch together with the service team, suitable service offerings for the different i-line markets
- Do marketing, business development and sales support to ensure increased system adoption in the designated i-line segments for your XT400 300mm/200mm products
- Interact regularly with customers on the value of the whole product. Solicit continuously for improvements in products and related extensions and additions, resolve structural issues end-to-end
- Drive the implementation of the Product Generation Process (PGP) in the product team, and prepare and manage the creation of all information and documentation to drive the market introduction
- Develop the corresponding worldwide communication strategy, pricing as well as the proper marketing and sales support material
- Maintain portfolio: you will make sure the products in your portfolio are relevant, up-to-date and sales information is accurately available, and do regular sales trainings
- Contribute to the change process towards cost- and quality-driven product management, next to time-to-market driven innovation to enter emerging markets and defend positions with competitive cost of technology offering.
- Analyze customers future capacity & technology needs to determine addressable market and positioning strategy customer-by-customer
- Develop, align and execute a go-to-market and adoption plan to drive the business development together with the Customer Teams, the sectors (esp. Apps) and make sure it alings with the total i-line product team plan, as well as BL DUV strategy
- Travel up to 30% (to be discussed) of the time.
Education
- Master’s degree or similar, preferably in engineering or physics
- A MBA or similar education would be a plus
Experience
- >10 years of experience at ASML (preferable CS Applications) or another high tech company
- In-depth technical understanding of ASML advanced lithography equipment, and preferably also know competitor systems
- Product management and business development experience combined with outstanding intuition and experience in sales / marketing cycle from ideation to marketing and sales (consultative selling is known to you)
- Sufficient application experience and understanding of our customer’s manufacturing process and B2B marketing
- (ASML) experience in leading cross-sectoral teams, knowing how ASML operates, preferably based on working experience in development, operations or customer support
- Experience in interfacing with customers, including managing controversial or difficult situations
- Fluency in English

Context of the position
Within ASML the Business Lines are accountable for the development, strategy and marketing of the ASML products. The Product Manager is responsible to provide optimal solutions to our demanding customers to support their performance and to improve their global competitive position. The product manager is continuously challenged to maintain the right balance between technical capabilities, time to market and business targets, both for ASML and the customers, to ensure that ASML is chosen as the preferred partner, now and in the future.
