Background

At Alfa Laval, our digital ambition is clear: to empower the organization with trusted, high‑quality data and advanced analytics capabilities that fuel smarter decisions, faster innovation, and sustainable business value. Strengthening our enterprise data foundation is essential for building a digitally mature, insight‑driven company.

To accelerate this journey, we are looking for a Product Manager – Data & Analytics to lead the evolution of our global data platform and ensure it becomes a strategic enabler for all functions and business units. You will play a critical role in establishing a governed, scalable and secure platform that supports analytics, advanced insights, and AI.

This role goes far beyond technology — it combines product leadership, data governance, value realization, and adoption enablement. You will ensure our data foundation is trusted, reusable, and built for long‑term impact.

About the Job

As Product Manager for the Data & Analytics, you will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy that strengthens Alfa Laval’s ability to use data reliably and at scale.

Your mission spans eight core pillars:

Build and Evolve the Enterprise Data Foundation

  • Define and drive the strategy for Alfa Laval’s global data platform, ensuring scalability, performance, reliability and future evolution.

  • Lead development of unified, governed data capabilities supporting analytics, insights, automation, and AI use cases.

Establish and Embed Data Governance

  • Partner with Data Governance, Enterprise Architecture and domain teams to operationalize governance policies, data ownership and stewardship.

  • Ensure platform capabilities support metadata management, lineage, classification, data contracts and governance workflows.

Drive Data Quality & Trust

  • Define data quality guardrails, KPIs and automation requirements.

  • Promote continuous improvement practices that enhance trust, reliability and transparency of data products and pipelines.

Lead Reusable, Governed Data Products & Domain Models

  • Introduce standards for designing, certifying and maintaining reusable data products.

  • Enable domain teams to build high‑quality data assets aligned with enterprise definitions and governance requirements.

Value Realization & Business Impact Tracking

  • Translate digital goals into measurable value cases.
  • Track adoption, usage, and ROI of the data foundation and analytics capabilities.
  • Communicate impact to business sponsors in a structured, transparent way.

Drive Adoption, Change & Data Literacy

  • Build strong relationships across functions to accelerate platform adoption.

  • Influence cultural shift by driving communication, enablement and data literacy activities.

  • Ensure that teams understand how to use governed data assets and platform capabilities effectively.

Ensure Security & Compliance by Design

  • Integrate data security, privacy, and compliance requirements into platform development.

  • Work with cyber security teams to ensure governance of access, auditing, encryption and sensitive data handling.

Partner with Enterprise Architecture & AI Initiatives

  • Co‑create architecture decisions that ensure the platform’s long‑term viability and alignment with enterprise technology direction.

  • Enable AI and advanced analytics by ensuring the data foundation supports ML Ops, vector storage, scalable compute and model governance.

Who You Are

You are an experienced product leader with deep knowledge of data platforms, data governance, and analytics enablement. You can translate business ambitions into actionable product direction, build alignment across stakeholders, and drive adoption through clarity, communication, and strong decision‑making.

You thrive in complex environments and understand the importance of platform trust, governance, quality, and user empowerment. You are as comfortable working with engineers and architects as you are facilitating discussions with senior stakeholders on strategy and value.

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and own the long‑term product vision, strategy and roadmap for the data foundation and analytics enablement.

  • Ensure alignment with Alfa Laval’s Digital, IT, and Value Stream strategies.

Platform & Product Delivery

  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog with strong focus on quality, governance, adoption, and business value.

  • Oversee design, development, testing, deployment and evolution of platform capabilities.

  • Ensure high engineering standards, adherence to architecture principles, and compliance with global IT practices.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with data engineers, architects, data scientists, business owners and domain stakeholders.

  • Facilitate clear communication of vision, progress and value.

  • Influence teams to adopt standard ways of working, governance practices and reusable assets.

Adoption & Change Enablement

  • Drive onboarding, communication, documentation and training efforts.

  • Support business teams in operationalizing data governance and quality processes.
