Position Summary: We are looking for a Manager, Product Management to join the Collector Platform team within the athenahealth Product Management organization in Chennai. This role focuses on driving platform growth by gaining deep expertise in business workflows, prioritizing impactful features, defining MVPs, and ensuring value delivery through iterative product development. The Product Manager will lead strategic initiatives aimed at introducing new platform capabilities and accelerating AI-driven solutions that simplify operational complexity. The ideal candidate will collaborate across technical, business, and customer-facing teams to deliver scalable and outcome-focused product solutions aligned with athenahealth’s growth objectives.
About the Team: The Collector Platform team is part of athenahealth’s Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) division, known as “Collector.” This organization supports healthcare financial workflows and enables customers to achieve strong revenue outcomes through scalable technology solutions. The Collector Platform team develops core capabilities that optimize workflows, improve operational transparency, and enhance user efficiency across the RCM ecosystem. Positioned at the center of Collector’s long-term strategy, the team plays a critical role in driving product innovation, platform scalability, and AI-enabled operational improvements.
Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Gain expertise in healthcare business workflows and align product definitions with organizational and customer needs

  • Prioritize product roadmap initiatives and features based on business value, measurable outcomes, and customer impact

  • Define epics, user stories, MVP scope, and business requirements including UX and customer experience considerations

  • Act as Product Owner for scrum teams, driving product decisions, prioritization, and trade-off discussions

  • Collaborate with global, technical, and customer-facing teams to build, launch, and scale impactful platform solutions

  • Lead initiatives focused on introducing AI-enabled capabilities and workflow optimization features

  • Partner with product leadership to influence portfolio strategy, roadmap direction, and product innovation initiatives

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Support feature launches and rollout activities through collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and support teams

  • Drive cross-functional alignment and communication throughout the product lifecycle

  • Monitor product adoption, customer feedback, and operational impact to guide future enhancements

  • Ensure agile product management best practices are consistently followed across scrum teams

  • Facilitate decision-making through strong negotiation, analytical reasoning, and stakeholder management

  • Contribute to continuous improvements in platform scalability, usability, and customer outcomes

  • Support strategic discussions around healthcare interoperability and platform integrations where applicable

Expected Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Product Management or related field

  • Minimum 8–12 years of product management experience

  • Prior experience managing two or more products required

  • Strong understanding of modern product development concepts including microservices architecture, SaaS platforms, and micro front-end technologies

  • Experience working in agile product development environments and applying product management best practices

  • Healthcare industry or healthcare interoperability experience (HL7, CCDs, Interface Engines, integrations) preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
